Many of our alumni remember the black top that surrounded our school building. Most can recall the one and only tree on our campus. This gum tree still stands strong at the corner of 12th & Lawrence Streets.
In many ways today's St. Anthony looks like a new place. We have much more green space, picnic areas, play areas, vegetable gardens, and lots of trees. In the last five years we have planted over twenty trees! Five more trees will be planted in the fall. This is thanks to Abbott Klar Real Estate Group, Casey Trees, and our friends at The Catholic University of America. Their support and generosity are amazing!
Next time you're visiting take a moment to appreciate all that is growing in the heart of Brookland! It only gets more beautiful!
