On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 thirty-two middle school students competed in a Spelling Bee. The words were taken from the Spelling Workout books levels F, G and H along with a few words from Vocabulary Workshop level B. After a rousing 20 rounds Gelila Kebede, a 6th grader, was named the 1st place winner; she spelled the word "necessity' correctly. Alyssa Knott of the 7th grade won 2nd place and Rehema Kimathi of the 6th grade was the 3rd place winner. Special thanks are extended to Mrs. Fitzgerald for organizing the annual Spelling Bee and to Ms. Gonzalez, President of the Consortium of Catholic Academies, for cheering on our students.
