Founded in 1922 and located in the Heart of Brookland in Washington, D.C., St. Anthony Catholic School is a Pre-K3 through 8th grade elementary school that operates under the auspices of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Archdiocese of Washington, and the Consortium of Catholic Academies.
We have a highly-qualified, professional, and caring faculty and staff. Our faculty is certified in DC, MD, and/or VA and most hold catechetical certification in the Archdiocese of Washington. Principal Michael Thomasian, a former St. Anthony teacher, is in his twenty-first year of service to the school. We consider parents the primary educators of their child(ren) and encourage parents to volunteer at our school.
Many parents appreciate St. Anthony Catholic School because of the religious formation their children receive, the safe and nurturing environment we maintain, and our caring and committing faculty and staff. We offer Algebra I to a select group of eighth grade students, and we maintain an active partnership with Catholic University of America that provides benefits to our science program and the professional development of our teachers.
St. Anthony has a range of after-school activities that includes:
100% of our graduates are accepted into Catholic high schools, and our students consistently score highly on standardized tests.
We are now accepting online applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Please contact Mrs. Herrera, our school secretary, at 202-526-4657 to arrange for an in-person school tour and or to learn more about our school.
